I know there's the scientific jargon rahrahrah.
But what do you believe dreams are?
Do you believe they're a mix up of thoughts you've had/things you've done throughout the day all mized together?
Or your deepest innermost thoughts messing with your head?
Or do you believe dreams have meanings? That certain things that you dream mean something, if so what?
Just interested.
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."
my dreams are too bizare to mean anything i have dreamnt about everything from Ninja in the garage Punctuation walking about shouting abuse at me and my brother once got attacked by a mutant stop sign when we were skiing... if that means ANYTHING i would be conserned

Sometimes I have dreams of what's going to happen. Kind of. Like I had a dream my uncle called us from a motel in town. Two days later he actually did. The likelihood of that happening is like one in a gajillion 'cause he's too scared to really go anywhere and usually too broke. Welfare bum.
Around that time there was another dream I had where someone showed up that I hadn't talked to in a good long while. I don't remember it specifically anymore but it happened two days later, also.
the dreams i have seem to be about my life witha twist.so i think theyre all the thoughts and things you see that come in and out of your brain and get stored and then they come out in a dream.
wow that doesnt make much sense.it was meant to sound better than that lol.xx
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
some of my dreams i'm sure signified things, almost a bit like a premonition. some of my dreams do feature things that have happened during the day, and well others are just random
I have different kinds of dreams.
I too have premonitiony dreams, things happening, someone being rushed to hospital then me coming home from school the next day to find my mum had broken her elbow and been in hospital all day. It's not often specific. The dream wasn't about mum or her elbow. It was bout someone close to me and a hospital. And I have others. That's the best example I could think of.
I have reoccuring dreams. Some of them seem utterly crazy but I try to make sense of them.
Dreams are your subconcious - either trying to tell you things or helping you to release things that have been on your mind. Sometimes they mean nothing, such as if you have had a Supernautral dvd marathon and then you dream about Sam and Dean asking you to help with demon hunting all night. And they can contain people you seem to know but in reality have no idea who they are. But I believe that in these cases perhaps it's either your mind showing you what you want, or maybe who you will meet in the furture, and how things WILL be, or could be if you choose the right paths in life.
I also believe that sometimes, for some people dreams can be a connection to another plane, like when I get my premonitiony type dreams, and people communicate with ghosts of loved ones in dreams, I believe that this really is someone trying to contact you.
Dreams show the complexity of our minds, when you anazlyze every part of your dream it can be hard to believe that your mind could think up such weird and wonderful things. Rooms changing, people changing, worlds we've never seen, sometimes yes, dreams are just a reflection of what happened that day. Sometimes they may appear to have no relevance - like if you dream of a gorgeous guy in your fave band - just because you won't ever have a chance with him doesn't mean he doesn't represent something you do want. Sometimes they take situations and help you deal, your friends and people you know often appear because you care abuot them or because there is something you need resolving.
Last night I had 2 random dreams, one for expample was about a guy at work who I find VERY attractive, but he has a girlfriend. I know Id never try anything with soemone who is already attached. In my dream I kissed him, and it was the worst kiss ever, my mouth went dry and he didn't ksis me back - I was like omg I'm so sorry I don't know why I did that - you have a girlfriend!! And he just laughed at me and said it's ok don't worry.
I thinkt hat was because I had spent last night at work with him and part of me had thought, oh so what if he has a girlfriend...and my subconcious was telling me don't do it. It will just be humiliating. If not for you then for her. So you see what I'm saying there.
Ok I have rambled on for quite a while. I hope I've helped to answer your question just a little.
Truth is nobody knows and nobody will ever know for sure.
Wow, why are there so many people who say something about someone else without knowing a damn thing.
I never said I didn't have any dreams or thoughts about something that actually happened in the future. In fact, it happens to me most of the time.
And as I said, they're just your mind recalling something you've already seen happen.
Well is it not reasonable to assume from what you said that you hadn't had one or didn't believe in them? Sorry I didn't mean it to sound like I was judging you or anything. I wasn't. Infact I felt judged by what you said more than anything. Just dismissing that premonitions are real.
If you have a dream or a thought about something htat hasn't happened, how can it be recalling something from the past? Unless it's a past life. But lets not get started on that lol. Dreams are complicated enough.

It was rather unreasonable for you to assume actually, because nothing from what I said could be construed as what you thought.
Nope, I wasn't judging you at all.
Not from a past life, but a viewing of your current life. Before the soul enters your body it views everything about the life it's going to lead in order to understand properly. Then once in the body it forgets and sometimes through life it can remember.
Well I don't want to get into an arguement but I don't think it was unreasonable to think that. You could have just said the above in the first place.
It's a matter of opinion really. I don't believe that the sould has a preview of life, but you do. There isn't any proof and probably won't ever be. I like what you said, it seems nice but I don't believe it's what happens. I believe a soul is reborn until it has learned all of lifes lessons. And I believe that some are more sensitive to the past present and future and other worlds than others. But I don't believe that you have a chance to see what is ahead of you before you start that life.
I think that through dreams you can recall past lives - and see things from the future. I think sometimes you live the same life again if you've made really bad mistakes.
As I've said before, nobody knows for sure. You seem very certain that what you have said is true. I didn't mean to offend you and I'm sorry if I did. But I'm not going to apologise for what I said. Can we drop it now?
I don't remember who I was speaking to about it, but some-one once said that they felt like dreams were possibilities [sp?!] of what COULD be. no matter how insane, they were versions of the future that you could end up at if you like.. followed the right path.
If I think about something enough before I go to sleep I often dream about it.
I think that the significance of dreams depends on the person. Last night I had a nightmare that all these people were in a lift, and it was breaking, and the whole building was shaking and I was terrified [I hate lifts]. This could've been cause I had to go in a shitty one the other day and I almost had a panic attack!
But i also dreamt last night that I stole napkins. so. hah.
