Caling all Lincoln/Lincolnshire peeps HELP!

Well my family is making a big change and moving to lincoln from the midlands. Now I have to choose whether to stay or go so its a big scary decision. What's lincoln like? What's the youth culture like? Is it a nice place and will I be able to make new friends easily?

You see I'm 18 and just about to start a business in vintage clothes in my hometown now I've left college and this is where all my friends are so its kinda mucked up my plans. Is it worth starting all over in Lincoln?

Love Jess

i was in Lincoln yesterday :D

i live right close to it.

Its a gorgeous city, the cathedral and he castle are beautiful, and theres so much history. erm.. it has the university so is kind of a student city..ie: there are lots of friendly cheap pubs and clubs.
ive always had really good nights out there, and have never seen any trouble.
erm.. the train station is close to town and obviously takes you all over.

It has lots of shops which are generally located down the high street. (it has a huge primark)

Lincoln is on a hill.. everything is leading up the hill towards the cathedral. towards the top of the hill there are some amazing old bookshops and tea rooms and that kind of thing.

erm....i dont know what else i can tell you. but if theres anything you want to know, give me a shout.

xx

I was at uni in Lincoln! I understand its changed a lot since I was there [1988-1992] but it is a beautiful city, lots of students, great shops... It would be a great place for vintage clothes shops. An awesome place. [remembers Karma Crafts and The Happy Hippy Hut with nostalgia!]
