is it appropriate?

So, here's the idea for my next tattoo-just the rough draft can you tell me what you guys think? I want to see what other people thought of it, that don't know me. I've wanted this for awhile and will be getting it on my wrist I believe...I just want to make sure there aren't like a bajillion people out there with this kind of tattoo....Also, what size do y'all think would be best?

Stay

Strong

The script type isn't for sure. And the ribbon won't have "self-injury awareness" on it. And I'm not good at doing this kind of computer stuff in here, so a quick breakdown if it doesn't come through right. "Stay" is on top of the ribbon and "Strong" is on the bottom.
Let me know your thoughts please! Thanks!

This might be better in the "Show us pictures of your piercings and tatoos" thread in the picture forum?

I like it though. :)

But if i still believe you love me, maybe i'll survive.
So i tell myself you're coming home, like you've done a million times.
& if it's alright, i'll still be loving you.
'cause i can't break it to my heart.

I really like the idea, at first when I hadn't finished reading what you wrote, I was thinking 'they should but the strong on the ribbon instead of the 'self-injury awareness' =] hehe.

I know that a few people on here do have self-injury awareness ribbons, but I guess they mean different things to different people. If it's something you want, and it means a lot to you, then of course it's appropriate. =]
Go for it is my opinion, you only live once ;]

Make sure you post a picture if you do get it done. All the best.

With most tattos unless you design them yourself them there will be lots of people that have them, and as for size i think its up to you and not people on a fourm, because its your body.

But take ahwile to think about it.

Just something to think on; are you always going to want a self harm ribbon/symbol on show ?
The placement also is indicative of suicide/harm; the wrist...
Not sure how old you are...
Yes, i realize not everyone will know what it represents, but still. Personally, I would think it over for a long while...be a shame to get something you regret later as removal/cover-ups can be difficult, if not impossible.
But if you are definite on it, then ignore my babble and enjoy!

Thanks for the responses guys!! The placement was also a potential problem for the workplace, as I am 20 and only have a couple more years in school...I really want another one, and this was something I had been thinking of, but having time to REALLY think about it I realize that self-injury was a big part of my life, and I'm trying to move forward and leave the past in the past. I'll let you guys know what I get if I end up getting another one. Thanks again for your advice and responses!
