The Doc today said I didn't have Depression/Anxiety, well, fair enough but I certainly don't feel ready to come off the tablets.
I'm having Group Psychotherapy. What does this Doctor think that's for then!? Because I have nothing better to do from 30clock on Fridays? I don't think so.
I think perhaps what your doctor meant is that you have psychological issues, that cause you to feel depressed and anxious as opposed to organic mental illness perhaps. Often when people's problems are psychological tablets might provide a boost for the person to work on their problems, rather than being the solution to them.
Try not to feel upset/worried about it. Your doctor would be doing you a great disservice if she wasn't considering you coming off medication at some point in the future, it's her job to question wether medication is appropriate for you, not just to hand out pills without examining their positives and negatives and your feelings about them. A year is a very long review period anyway, I have medication reviews every 4 weeks!
I hope things pick up for you soon and that you don't worry about how this appointment went, because really there isn't anything to be afraid about.
