Journal Mods?
Hello Modly persons!
I was just wondering... is there a possibility of having a Journal specific mod?
Alsooooooooo!!!! I asked this ages ago and the answer was, no one knew :P But I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if it's possible to unsubscribe people from your journal? I've deleted mine becasue people are subscribed who I don't want to be. And i really just don't want to go through the hassle of another account and journal etc. But yeah, I was just wondering.
Sorry for taking up tiiime

im pretty sure we cant stop people subscribing if its public. And I dont think journal mod is necessary,we very rarely have problems with them.

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.

My journal hadn't been public for a long time, it was private.
Ahh well. If it can't be done it can't be done.
Thanks for replying guys :)

I think if you subscribe before it's set to private you stay subscribed or something like that. And yeah, there was some things said in direct response to somethig i'd writtn in my journal. I've deleted my journal now cause i'm so paranoid that people are spreading everythign everywhere. But yeah. I was just wondering and all ^_^

Would you like me to test it for you? (IE, subscribe when you have set it to public, then you change it to private, and post something meaningless, to see if I get it? )

Could you PM the people and ask them to unsubscribe you? Can't imagine many people would want to read something they knew was supposed to be private. If you are not sure who they all are you could make a journal entry asking them.
I'm sure that if you wanted to delete someone from your subscriber list, there must be a reason - most likely something negative. Therefore, if you then asked someone to respect your privacy, they'd most likely not want to give up that advantage over you... Or am I just being cynical?
To be honest, it sounds like something that needs changing but I don;t think it can/will ever be...
On the issue of Journal mods, what function would they serve? Patrolling journals? I never really use them (quite confusing!) but surely the normal mods would be sufficient?

Yeah mike, basically there really isnt enough issues with journals to warrant a specific mod.

The way it works with journals is that the mods tend to respect the privacy of the journals unless an incident/issue seems to be brought up. In that case the mods might glance around but the privacy aspect still is as respected as possible.
The mods don't go around taking advantage of being able to read whatever journal they wish. I know I only ever looked at the journals when a specific issue was brought forward, and in over a year and a half of forum modding that only happened once that I can remember.
Journal specific mods really aren't necessary.
