Trazadone,mirtazapine and diazepam 9 MEDICATION QUESTION
I'm currently on Trazadone 300mg mirtazapine 30mg and diazepam 5mg. Does anyone have any tips on preventing the inevitable drowsines and zoning out. Feel really spacy don't know if taking the diazepam at or mirt at different time would make a difference. Anyone have any idea

How long have you been on them?
The mirtazapine makes you really drowsy for the first few weeks of taking it / after an increase, but then it sort of levels out and you don't feel so tired.
You should speak to your doctor and see what he suggests, some people take their night meds (10pm) after dinner instead (6pm) to stop them being so drowsy the next day.
Maybe the doses need a bit of juggling around, I know that taking diazepam as well as mirtazapine makes the mirtazapine even more sedating.

I have been on the Trazadone for a while the Mirtazapine and Diazepam I'm still adjusting too. I can't see my doctor for aother couple of week so was wondering any temporary . I might try taking some at dinner and some in the evening .

That's a lot of sedating meds you're on... Has the psych. explained why you're on so many?

I'm only on the diazepam temporarily I come off them in a couple of days, cos I went a bit nutty and was a suicide risk. The others I think its just cos I don't sleep well and other ssris havent worked with the trazadone. This is my doctor precribing not a psych though
