Feeling Trapped

Hi, I am new here and this is my first post (excluding introduction). I have been irresponsible during my young life and am now paying for my actions. The main issue that is making life difficult is I have been put under a Non-Compliance driver's license suspension. It is both extremely unfair and difficult to deal with. I live in a small town with very few places to work at within walking distance. I just would like an outside view for a fresh perspective and maybe even a little bit of advice.

Thanks for the time

Welcome (:

How long is the suspension for?

Maybe you could find somewhere to work a bit further away and travel by bus or train if you can afford the expense. Or perhaps you could get a bike and ride to work if it's not too far. Or is there anyone who could provide you with a lift if you got a job out of your town?

'Cause I'll always remember you the same.

If you live in an area that has good weather for it, perhaps biking? But I know that has already been suggested, but I had a friend do that when she couldn't get a car and she said a few weeks in, she could bike to work without any problems. (but then again, it was also downhill, lol)

Hmm...I have thought about that. I am skilled with computers (especially building them), but have no actual certification.

Thanks for the welcome!

The suspension is for an entire year. My current job is about 20 miles away, so the bike thing won't work for that haha. I can't get rides often enough for me to always be at my job. I am working on getting driving privileges, but it will take a little bit of time.

i applied for a provisional driving licence so that i could learn to drive because i always have to find ways of getting around without being able to drive and i know how frustrating it can be. i don't really know what to suggest but maybe appeal against there decision to take your licence off you? all you can do for now is keep your fingers crossed and hope it wont take too long to get some driving privileges
i hope it works out soon for you

I have never driven and yes it is hard(er) but it is possible. I live out of town.
