How cocky have you been lately?
With all these stories about contaminated meat, more details coming out every day.
It's been a good time to be a vegetarian.

Letting it get to you - You know what that's called? Being alive. Best thing there is. Being alive right now that's all that counts. ~ Doctor Who "The Doctors Wife" 06.November.2011
I haven't felt cocky, although I did feel bad for my partner as I'd been buying him burgers that had horse meat in them, which unnerved him slightly so we switched to other brands. I'm sure he's forgiven me though :P
I'm sticking to meat-free until this saga blows over.
That said, looking at the lists, and thinking back to what mum fed me at Christmas, I quite enjoyed my Horse Lasagne!
It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do.
We won't all be here this time next year,
so while you can take a picture of us.
We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
While we haven't had a horse meat scandal in the US (at this point), I have been following this. I think the thing I'd be really concerned about is whether these horses had been given bute, dewormers, or other such things, which can cause fairly serious human health issues as they stay in the horse's body for a while and would be present in the meat.. I don't know if you guys have stronger regulations about that than we do, but if it happened here that would be a serious concern of mine. If the horses were raised for meat and/or had not been exposed to things that are toxic for humans it probably isn't something to be concerned about. Either way I still wouldn't choose to eat horse.
To be fair, if you eat one animal, you can eat 'em all. I say this as a meat eater. People eat cow's stomachs and pigs feet and bull's testicles, you may as well throw a horse in there.
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
Although I'm a meat-eater, I'm not a big fan of beef or pork products so I can smugly say that I have not eaten horse!
I wouldn't care though to be honest if I had. I don't think I'd be disgusted by the idea of eating any kind of meat - within reason - as it all seems the same to me! I do however try to limit myself to chicken and fish wherever possible because I feel like a hypocrite eating something that I wouldn't be able to kill myself.
I'm veggie.
In my opinion eating horse is no different to eating cow, pig etc.
But - as others have mentioned the fact that no-one knew what they were eating and the horses were most likely treated with all sorts of stuff it's not a good situation at all.
Everyone has HATED me recently :P I've always been vegetarian, and have only eaten meat by accident - woe! So now it's my turn to be like "OH YEAH! It's not nice when you eat things by mistake is it?!" (My friends smugged meat under my pizza once :( ) I'm obviously not bitter at all..
Edit: I do also agree though, that to me, meat is meat, whatever animal it comes from! Although obviously it's the not knowing it was there, and not knowing what else could be in food that we're unaware of
