Well, one simply takes the brains of a fallen, attach it to a piece of string and tie it to a stick. Then, one attaches said stick to the zombie's head (one requires at least one very strong ally for this part) and watch as they walk around chasing a brain they will never get hold of ala donkey following carrot!
This should distract the zombies for a suitable amount of time for you to make your escape and think up a better plan.
