I am currently:
haven't had a major binge in 2 months

been a coe/binge eater for 35yrs. finally after dealing with abuse and self injury and suicide attempts for the past 3yrs in therapy and dbt, i am tackling the food issues. i've been going in a good direction the past 2 months. exercising and eating well. i have so much loneliness, anxiety and transition in my life, that adding on removing my "comforts" i am so much more lonely and lost. i know it will get easier, but god, i just don't know who the hell i am. it's compounded by being unemployed for the past 6 months.. no identity left..some days are ok, some days just suck.

I always figured it was hard dealing with eating issues which were as long in the tooth as mine (14 yrs) but I can't imagine how much strength you'll be needing to summon right now! You're a very strong person (even if you don't feel like it). You're doing really well having not binged for so long and it suggests to me that you know that even if you don't feel yourself right now, you know that you're also not your true self when being consumed by your ED.

Please don't ever feel lonely hun... come and sit on the pink comfy couch and chat to us when you're feeling down, and focus on the new days if you feel like you've had a bad one.

You can get through this... getting over the ED isn't easy but I am certain you can.

Stay strong xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It takes alot of inner strength to face your eating your eating difficulties and I think you are doing so well. You should be proud of yourself. When you are struggling to keep going remind yourself of how far you have come. Keep fighting you, you can get through this. Definitely come and join us on the big comfy couch, we are a friendly bunch there. Take care
