well, im back now... felt a bit sorry for him at times because it must have felt like hard work getting me to open up enough to do any diagnosis...

I've been diagnosed with anxiety & depression, signed off work for 2 weeks initially, pending full assessment by the CPN, who'll then assess what course of treatment will be done... He doesnt think i'll get to the CPN before my review with him in 2 weeks time, but initial review by CPN should probably be in a few weeks...

He was really good, much much better than i ever expected.

Actually as a bit of an update on this - I got my CPN appt through a lot quicker than anticipated (he did say he'd try and get me in quicker if at all possible.. though I don't know why...) - it's on tuesday.

I'm terrified.. I've got my next appointment with my GP on thursday too, and I'm quite scared of that too. Might feel like there's more to be done though if I've had my assessment done by then. I'm worried he's going to say no more time signed off work, tbh. If that happened, I don't know what I'd do. My parents don't think that's what he'll say - which is saying something coming off my dad as he's had several bouts of depression in his life.

I think all I can do is be as honest as possible and work from there..

*tries to breathe and not hyperventilate about it already*

Keep breathing through this. :)

Seeing as you've been refered so soon, I would say that you should have no worries on the work front. They clearly think you are in some distress and need the additional support.

And, as you say, just be honest and I'm sure things will be fine. A bit scary, but fine. :)
