Severely Triggering (ED) - Why does this happen?

Apologies to anyone reading this for waisting your time...

But Oh My God I hate myself!

Why do I purge!?! Why Did I just do that!?!

I'm a guy... guys don't do this... why do I!?!

Everyone keeps commenting how skinny I'm getting... so why does this make me do the opposite and want to purge... It doesn't make sense!

What a waste of space!

*hugs*! I've heard of men w. anorexia but never bulimia, I never doubted it though, and I'm sure there are many more out there who are afraid to admit to it for the same reasons you are.

Men can suffer with eating disorders just like women. It's not as heard of, but it does happen. You aren't a waste of space. Also, the reason you keep purging and such, it's because no matter how much people tell you you're thin, you'll never see it. The ED will warp your mind and your perception of yourself. You'll never be thin enough xx

Reach out for help if you feel you can & my PM box is always open

Sweetie people of any sex, age, race, class etc can have an eating disorder, it is just more common among females. Sometimes people with an eating disorder can't see that they are thin and when people around them tell them they are they don't believe them, and this can make them more likely to engage in behaviours which they think will help them lose weight.
Does anyone around you in real life know of your ED?

'Cause I'll always remember you the same.

As everyone else has said, EDs can affect absolutely anyone. They are more common in females, but that doesn't mean you should feel ashamed of yourself.

People commenting on your weight-loss can fuel an ED because they make you feel as though you've acheived something (if that makes sense) and that if people are noticing, you must be doing something right. No matter how much you lose, this will never change unfortunately.

If you need more support, feel free to post - nobody will judge you here :)
