I am currently:

I have had equally good and bad experiences with anti depressants. Though like somebody else said it does seem to be very much a case of trial and error on them. What works for somebody else might not necessarily work for you. Unfortunatly a great deal of patience is required for this.

I did find however, that in conjunction with therapy and counselling the drugs did take the edge off of the depressions that i was feeling. In many cases they helped me sleep at night, and i dont care what anybody says, a good nights sleep can really do wonders for the way that you are feeling.

If you think you can cope with counselling then by all means continue on this route. If you think that taking some anti depressants might help take the edge off a little bit than try this as well. Make sure you talk to your doctor. Discuss any concerns you might have, and ask them to answer your questions. If you are close to your parents and friends get their opinion as well, make sure you have a firm support network during this time.

Most of all, be kind to yourself. x
