Hey I'm so sorry about your friends friend and that this is such bad timing. Try not to think of it as anything personal on you or your character, it's not that they don't trust you, they wouldn't have asked you in the first place if they didn't, it's just as everyone else said that it could be very distressing and stuff. Maybe at some point in the future you could do it then, don't give up on your dream.
