I am currently:

I think mine are due to narcolepsy or another type of sleep disorder.

I experience sleep paralysis accompanied by hypnogogic and hypnopompic hallucinations, both auditory and visual, on a regular basis. It's been going on since I was 19, and has progressively gotten worse, especially under stress. Generally, I either see shadow people in my bedroom hovering over me or spinning in my desk chair...I hear things like radio static or unintelligble voices, whispering, etc. I once saw the carpet morph into different shapes...It resembled the flashing colors of an after-image or what you see after staring at the sun...The weird thing is, it would morph into whatever I was thinking about. I'll never forget my first experience with this: I saw this spiderman-like alien thing climbing along my wall and ceiling. Scared the sh*t out of me. I'm kind of used to it now, but I still get frightened. I think the worst is experiencing a presence in my room, but not being able to "see" anything.

It's also frustrating because a lot of people write it off and think I am making it up, or undermine how scary it can be. I hope to get a sleep study done to figure things out in the next month or so.
