I am currently:
Is it OK to feel some comfort while being sutured

I was stitched by my GP yesterday and she has done a few in the last two weeks, she said she thought I was doing it to be stitched by her even though I have wounds that she was not there for.

I think I am cutting more because I am addicted to the feelings I get and there is the added benefit of gaining comfort when the wounds are stitched, I think there is more comfort gained from her than from other doctors but that is only because she is a nice doctor whereas A&E have less pleasant ones and pretty awful nurses.

I am going to try to talk to her next week but don't know if I should admit I get comfort as I am afraid she might refuse to suture me again.

Does anyone else gain comfort from being put back together.

"I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same too so we are not that different you and I.

You'll be surprised to know how far you can go from the point where you thought it was the end.
