Tylenol is just paracetemol. No other active ingredient. It's not an addictive substance.

That said, it's very easy to pick up habits with anything if you convince yourself in your mind that you need it. I have a friend who takes 2 paracetemol tablets morning and night every day without fail, whether she is in pain or not. She has convinced herself, worryingly, that she *will* get a headache if she doesn't take them.

In other words, the whole thing has basically developed from and then back into a fear of getting a headache...

Tylenol contains paracetemol in relatively low doses, assuming it's the regular strength stuff and not Tylenol 2 or 3? If it's the latter, your problem likely stems from the Codeine content. Codeine is an addictive opiate closely related to morphine.
