I am currently:

On our way in a bit. My husband just left an extra tip for the motel maid because of the pop tart crumbs that are ground into the carpet. We need to go get groceries yet again, I'm out of pop tarts.

I'm sitting here with my hair wet on my shoulders. It is supposed to be in the mid 90's mid 30's today. I don't like starting a hot day by aiming hot air at my head.

We spent the night in Rio Rancho, a suburb of Albuquerque. We are on the upper reaches of the Rio Grande, the same one featured in John Wayne Movies.

Yesterday we saw the ruins of three old Spanish missions from the 1600's. One of stone, two of adobe. The Fransiscan priests would start missions and civilize the heathen indians, and the missions usually became self supporting and even profitable.

The churches were awesome. Since they had been the tallest buildings in the missions they also had the highest walls. One of the churches had walls about 5.5 feet thick. The buildings around the church were like a maze. Those walls were only three feet thick. The thickness of the walls was only an estimate though, I know how long my reach from fingertip to fingertip is as well as how to estimate yards.

At the first mission ruin, there were swallows flying around just above the walls. I enjoy watching them flit around going after the insects they eat.

My husband just reminded me of the time. So I'd better shut down!

My husband is my best friend.

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.
