It's not your fault. Like others have said, kids get into stuff no matter how careful you are. You noticed in time that even if he'd taken a whole lot more you'd have gotten him to the hospital in time for him to still be fine, and it sounds like this is the first time something like this has happened, so I think you're doing a pretty darn good job really.
When my sister was about 3 she drank a bunch of Triaminic, and she had to take Ipecac so she'd throw up, and I think she also went to the hospital. She was fine, but it could have been pretty bad. Anyway, my parents were always really careful when we were little, and the had child locks on everything and all that, but someone didn't screw the cap on tight enough, and left it on the counter where Anna's friend could reach it. These things happen no matter how careful you are, and I'm sure Kaleb will be fine.
And if poison control thought there was even the slightest chance he wouldn't be okay staying at home, they'd have told you to take him to the hospital just in case. Doctors will never ever tell you not to come in unless they're 100% sure you don't need to, cause if they say not to come in and miss something serious that way, they're most likely going to get their a**es sued.
