Heat! What heat? In the Radfan campaign in South Yemen, just before the Brits pulled out of Aden, the Army reckoned to have to supply a 20 litre jerrycan of water per man per day. This was almost entirely for drinking - washing was a luxury - but without enough liquid intake a man could die of heat exhaustion within hours, and I once came a bit close myself in Oman.

But I do agree with the original thought behind the post. This is a lovely time of year in UK - warm but not sweltering and everything fresh and green. Enjoy!
