Science and religion aren't incompatible, they have existed side by side and have been intertwined in the past. There is nothing to say that being a scientist dictates you cannot be religious.

Some people also seem to think that by being religious it means you have no sense of logic, or even common sense. But that doesn't really follow. Faith and logic are not exclusive.

Unless you are a Creationist then you won't believe the Bible to be the literal word of God. To be a Christian is not to believe in everything the Bible says. You can be a very good Christian without ever opening the book. Religion is a deeply personal thing and it doesn't matter what the person does or does not believe as long as the core beliefs are there. Or even if it is the religion they feel like they identify with most.
