Yep, phenethylamines are (with a few notable exceptions eg. mescaline) stimulant drugs which speed up the heart on top of the other, more 'desirable' effects. I was going to say try measuring your heartrate next time you take 2C, but that's probably be a bit of a weird experience, so don't. Just slow down, as everyone's advised.
