Unfortunaltey your labour already sounds more painful and drawn out than mine. Do not eat heavily - you will be sick on the gas and air, drink plenty of water and get a nice cushion to sit on so your bum is on it but your 'front' is hanging off (a rubber ring is really good!).
im still here mand!! still having the pains too. had a bit of an experience today which was a bit scary!
while walking round the shops my bump kept going hard but this is not unusual. on the way back, i got strong pains in my bump but only on the right hand side. i tried to walk it off but it got more and more painful and began to move further down to the ovary area and radiate to my back and down my leg. but it was all still only on the right side. i was 2 mins away from the house but by the time i got there i was struggling to stand. it frightened me as i felt it went on far too long to be a contraction and i couldnt figure out why it was only on one side. i ran a bath and lay in it for a while but the pain was still there when i got out. so i lay on the couch and 7 hours later, the pain has largely subsided. i am now left with a dull ache like period pains and the occassional twinge in my back.
my friend told me it was contractions but i am not convinced as it has largely gone away and i think the pain lasted way too long to be contractions. thinking maybe round ligament pain?
who knows!!! time will tell...and hopefully i will join u in motherhood very very soon!
