i tried to...and did much the same...except i LEFT the same day (becaused i was on benzos, they wanted to detox me from those too!!! STupid policy they are dr subscribed!))
anyways, stopped and got a bottle and beer on the way home...BUT my stay was meant to be TWO WEEKS, some are 4 weeks. I DONT think you failed, i think they are expecting too much in too short of time. After X years/months of drinking they expect you to quit totally in a week??!!

Look for a different place, there lots out there.
And hey...YOU didnt fail, you stayed and fought it the whole time, Be proud of that...it isnt going to happen the first time.
