"C.C," Mer called, out of the blue, "could you come here?"

"Yeah, sure," I answered, getting up off the chair, leaving the guys to themselves. I sat down at the end of the dock, dipping my feet in to the water. "What's up?"

"I just wanted to know how you're doing." Mer said, treading water in front of me.

"I'm doing pretty good," I lied. I saw her gaze lighten then shooting up into my eyes.

"Sweetie," she said, "I know that isn't true." She read my mind. Was it that obvious to tell what what running through my head? "Is everything alright?"

"Not exactly," I confessed. "Things haven't been going so well back at home."

"Care to talk about it?" She asked.

"Yeah," I sighed," I guess I can."

"Thank you," she smiled. "Now I take it your parents are still as loving as ever." She said in an obvious sarcastic tone.

"You have no idea," I said, letting out a dry chuckle. "Earlier today my parents were patronizing me about my weight."

"They finally told you that you are too skinny." She said, looking at my waist.

"No, they were telling me that I am too fat," I said, taking my legs out of the water and bringing my knees to my chest.

"What?!" She exhaled heavily," you have got to be shitting me!"

"I really wish I was..." I sighed, putting my face to my knees.

"Hun, I am so sorry!" She apologized.

"It is alright, you don't need to apologize." I stated, "really, it is."

"Like hell it is." She strained," Who the hell to they think they are to put down their own flesh and blood like that?"

"My parents." I blatently answered. "Besides, I'm used to it. Please don't worry about it."

"Cecilia..." I cut her off.

"Please, there is nothing you or anybody can do for me. I know you want to help me and I love you for that. Just don't worry about me. I'm a big girl now and I can take care of myself. I hate to say this to you, but I need to take care of this ordeal by myself."
