i dont think you are lazy. its possible that maybe it isnt the job for you or if you suffer from depression or another mental health issue then that could have a big part to play in how well you cope with your working day.
i know exactly how you feel about working in a call centre. i got a job taking incoming calls in a leading life insurance and pensions company in july 07, around the time i fell pregnant. i wasnt sure if it was the pregnancy or the job but i found the days very, very difficult to get through. in fact, i have hardly been back since december. i am now on holidays waiting for maternity leave to begin in a couple of days time.
what people dont realise about that kind of job is how taxing it is on you. people seem to think answering a phone is easy - but you and i know different.
i would suggest you sit down and think about what happens during your day. at what stage do you become restless? when you wake up in the morning and think oh god i dont want to go to work, what is it that makes you not want to go?
do the feelings continue outside of work? i mean, do you still feel crap after you leave? i think if you can determine that then that will help you figure out if its the job itself, if its mental health issues thats affecting it or if its another reason thats lurking.
