I understand how you are feeling as I've been through the same experience. People move on, we just have to accept it, but people are never forgotten, those experience last for life and there will always be a time in each of their lives that they will remember the times they had with you and how much it meant to them.
I think you ought not to go through them anymore, just put them away somewhere and out of the way because clearly it's upsetting you. You must also consider the possibility that these people have changed, and even if you did get back in touch with them, you may not even like what you find, and this has also happened to me before too. I think you should keep those memories dear to you but leave them as memories. Look forward now to making new friends to share a likewise or better experience :)
