Chicken, she really sounds like she may have other things going on aswell, as she does sound very low within herself.
Can you maybe contact her mum or even her, via phone or mobile?
It is a really horrible situation to be in, but I really think that there may be more to this than first meets the eye.
You are not a bad friend, I will repeat what I said before -
You are not the worst friend, you are struggling and that doesn't make you a rubbish friend, it just means that you are in need of some support, that's all. Doesn't make you a bad friend at all!
