I think everyone is well aware that, because of everyones own stability and moods that not every view to a thread is someone in a state of mind where they can reply properly.
This was why Hugs were created, and I really don't think we want to start off with the feeling they are 'cheap' or worthless. They are the tags of all the people who care, but just can't find the words to say it. Those people who read a thread, leave and don't hug are those who are ignoring that person and not doing anything for them.
We need not be at all ashamed if we don't feel up to answering someones difficult plea for advice - but until those who can come along, a hug is a great deal better than nothing and leaving without a hug.
