It seems to me that your friend is trying to help you, but in a way that's not actually helping you at the moment. A friend of mine tried to do the same sort of thing a little while ago, and it made me feel worse. I told her I couldn't deal with it as well as everything else, and she wasn't helping.
She took that quite well.
I think you should try and explain to her that you are trying to stop, but blackmail is not going to help you. And loosing something you care about isn't going to help the matter either.
And don't even think about jumping through a window, Love. Nothing is worth that.
