That's a good way to look at it. Sometimes, though, I have to focus on just [i]Right Now[i]. But having goals to motivate me is also really helpful. Like, for my two month mark I'm going to a movie with my mom and a friend (though they don't know my reason), and when I've made it to a year I'm thinking about getting a tattoo.
I'm glad you're here! This is such a great place!
Seriously?

If all goes well grades-wise, I'll be doing psychology in university not this September, but next. I'm researching universities ATM! I'm so glad to hear you're liking it, I haven't met anyone who's actually doing a psychology degree yet, so it's good to hear from someone who is. There was a sample lecture at a university open day I went to recently, though, and I loved it.
And yes! Books are so good. It's so good you're doing a psychology degree, actually, because I've been wondering whether the degree gives much, if any time to read for fun? Although I imagine my book-buying habit may take a hit anyway, being on a student budget and whatnot.
And I totally get that! Looking to the future is something I tend to do a lot, but it does help, especially when you're feeling particularly bad, to live for the moment and not focus on anything else. And ooh, are you going to see anything good? The cinema is always a good reward! And you definitely deserve it, given how much it must have taken you to get to this milestone.
And I've always wanted to get a tattoo, having it as a one year reward is actually a really good idea!
PS. We should probably move this to PM.
