I am currently:

It might not feel like you need more sleep but your body and mind won't be able to sustain itself properly for any significant length of time.

Like Aimee said it can be an indicator of a manic episode and on the flip side not getting sufficient sleep can trigger mood episodes or other symptoms in the best of people never mind those that are susceptible to mood episodes or other mental health symptoms.
