Thanks guys.
Epicene- you're right. It is helpful to be reminded that my perspective is negative and critical, that's why I need a therapist who can take a non judgemental stance.
I don't think I'm getting a CPN. After the assessment the psychiatrist just said 'should I discharge you back to GP or would you like a follow up with me?', so I opted for a follow up.
I sometimes think that people don't take me that seriously. Because I can still function- I can still work and maintain a relationship, then I surely can't be THAT depressed.... I can't possibly be thinking of ending my life if I can get up and go to work!
I've done a lot of CBT stuff with myself but it's near impossible because I'm so certain my thoughts are true, I just can't challenge them. Also my mood is so low I just want to sleep, I have no motivation.
With regards to my manager, she's suspicious in a non-supportive way. She's said things like 'if someone's struggling with their mental health then here really isn't a good place to work, they should probably get a job elsewhere'. I think she's hinting to me. I don't know. Either way, I work in a very judgemental place.
