I personally boycott non useful media forms. So I don't watch the news, or read the papers, or pay attention to celebrity stuff. I don't find it useful to my life. I know a lot of people say it's important to know whats going on around the world - and i agree with that: I just get too stressed about things I can't change when I do read it though.
Besides, the news is always morbid - and people like katie hopkins are used merely for ratings. Really, everyone knows she hasn't got anything worthwhile to say.
its a shame the media works that way, because it could be used to do more positive stories and propel new and powerful voices. But they don't.
