let it be. Don't fight it and try to keep yourself safe when it's happening. if it is dissociative i imagine they are similar to mine. I have a lot of screaming and crying in my head, and at the moment I have a really over the top laugh going on.
Soemtimes listen to what they need. because if you are dissociative they're needs are a part of your needs. For example, I used to be asked a lot to go to the park and play - so when it was a bit more late and children were at home, I'd go to the park and let myself play. I also buy activities i liked as a child, like iron beads, painting, drawing, colouring books, and I look through the argos catalogue a lot like it's my toy bible.
When they're crying and screaming they may be trying to communicate, but maybe you ned nurturing. Maybe something like a bath, or a massage, or letting yourself be creative with whatever comes. I used to do this, and yes a lot of my art was dark and scary ,but it got it out and helped process it a little.
