and OP, if you were to do exactly the same but use high contrast white, you would only see white text on black =]
This is probably the best bet for anyone who has a problem with colors, as it should make everything, not just RYL readable.

Also, if you have a customizable browser, like firefox, you may be able to download an extension to make things black and white.
