Im sorry to hear that. I dont understand why they would interview u if they were looking for someone with experience unless they thought u had experience already. I dont understand. How did u hear about this job?

Maybe it would be good if u rang them up and said i didnt know uwere suppose to have experience already to be a security officer as u didnt hear anything about the post suggesting u need experience. Do u think it would be a good idea to ring them and ask? You should i think.

I suppose to an extent u need some mind of knowledge or experience in this industry already to offically become a security Office so if anything happens u know u have the training behind u to do that. Though u would think they would give u training on the job. I think its best to find out more about the industry before u think about replying again.

Its good that ur dad believes in u and wants u to do the same job as he does but he may have been lucky to secure a job in this industry at the time and eventhough it may look easy to go into it there isnt any easy way to have the best of both worlds by making ur dad happy and getting a job. I think u need to talk to ur dad as there is no way u can have a job in security unless u got experience. You should ask him how he got into it

The best thing to do is first of all ring up the company explain u didnt know anything about Lessing experience and that u gone through getting ur license etc before going for interview ti have proof of being able to do the job. Then i think u should go to ur dad and explain everything and ask what u can do to gain experience before going for interview again and see how he got into the industry. I think after that u should look on the internet and find out more where u can gain experience for u to start up.

I think u need to have a look around and see whats out there and go from there but if ur finding it hard still then i would maybe go onto The Careers Advice Service website and speaking to a trained advicer about ur career and how u can get some experience. Maybe if ur dad does security work u could maybe ask if u could do some work experience there to out something down on ur cv. Your dad could have a word with the manager.

Would u be able to do that?
