Thanks for the feed back. I think I'm going to leave it for now as we haven't known each other that long. As ajrocks brought up, there could be another reason for the scars and don't want to assume anything.
I have made a point to roll up the sleeves of my sweatshirt a couple of times while around him. Since I usually get questioned about my scars from 99% of people, him not saying anything is another indicator that his scars are from the same thing. SIers tend not to ask questions.
