Sorry you haven't had a reply before now. How are you feeling about things now? It can be hard when something we want doesn't happen but it sounds like you did your best and also that they decided not to hire anyone anyways so I don't think it highlights something you did wrong. There will be other opportunities out there. Use it as a learning curve, each interview you go to is not a waste it is a chance to learn new skills and to improve.
