I don't know, but my Dell did the same, and a friends has too. I'm guessing if it wasn't the power cord, and wasn't the battery, it's the bit that the battery plugs into.

I gave up and got a new laptop because my Dell had so much wrong with it, but it did work for about a year perfectly happy being plugged in all the time.

	It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go. No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do. We won't all be here this time next year, so while you can take a picture of us. We're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
