I can certainly sympathize. I am 34 and haven't had a relationship for a logn time - I don't trust people, especially not to talk about my past.
I have come to terms and accept being single for now. I have learned that to be happy in a relationship I have to be happy to be alone first. I have found joy outside of a relationship in the horses I ride and my two dogs - they give me more than any person.
You need to find something beyond people to make you happy.
