I am currently:

You say it isn't a serious problem. Are you being honest when you say that? I was a functioning alcoholic - I still had my friends, family, home etc. The real trouble was in my head - the insanity of my addiction was in full force on the inside. What is it like in your head?

Its always best to seek the advice of a qualified medical professional when getting clean/sober. I'd recommend you talk to your doctor, they may want to observe you or prescribe something while you detox.

In my experience, there are only 3 places an addiction can lead - death, complete insanity or recovery. I know which of those options look better to me! My alcoholism is a progressive illness - over any significant period of time, it always gets worse, never better. If I were to drink again, I'd continue on that downward spiral.

Its all or nothing
And nothings all I ever get
Every time I turn it on
I burn it up and burn it out
