I think that because you are 16 they have to keep these things confidential unless they think you are a danger to yourself. eg. if you were going to act on these suicidal thoughts or if they believe you are not capable of making decisions yourself.
But you should be ok and able to keep things confidential. It might also reassure you if before you disclosed anything you ask the GP/counselor about the confidentiality policy to reassure you?

There was some part of me that hurt so badly, that I wouldn't ever be able to forget it.
It faded but the memories could bring it back any second, keeping me in the moment.
It would never fully heal. I could never really be free. I could never really be fixed.
Now I just have to work out how to live whilst being broken.
I feel like I'm dying.
