Well done for your answer, Ashlee. That was very honest of you to write.

I think that the ages of 11/12/13, as you get into your teens, can make you progressively self-conscious. You feel more aware of your body, what you look like to other people, how you should act, what you should wear... it sounds as though this is a feeling that really took hold of you. You were called fat by others and, consequently, took control of your eating habits. This isn't uncommon, Ashlee, and you're not alone in struggling with this.

Perhaps you could go back to the lunchtime supervisor that Sean took you to and tell her that, in fact, you are worried about your weight. It sounds as though you're not in denial now and that's positive. It's better to acknowledge you have a problem so that you can fight it head on, rather than hiding behind other things.
