As above, it depends on how you are/ how your doctor believes you will cope without medication. If you're wanting to conceive it's best to let your GP know so that they can keep an eye on you before, during and after your pregnancy and make sure that you're getting the best care you can.
You can also get free supplements on prescription (such as folic acid) which are recommended for people who are trying to conceive and during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. They can cost a bomb if you buy them from the pharmacy.
