I reference as I go, but then realise half way through a counselling essay that I've used education Harvard, not standard Harvard and have to edit it all again, and I get really confused about it. (And my department keep revising their referencing guide so we have to reference differently each year so there is no point whatsoever in learning how to do it cause as soon as you do, it changes!)
I don't see why they don't just make a universal referencing system though? Surely that would uncomplicate things?
