I'm a lip gloss girl but have decided it's time to take the plunge and try to wear actual lipstick. I've ordered one that is kind of pinky-brown so not too bright.

Couple questions:

- I've decided to put it on with a brush as my lips are quite thin and I always go over the edge when just putting it straight on. Any tips for this? Does the brush get all gunky and need washing every time you use it?

- Is lip liner necessary? What kind of colour should it be? I have a light pink one someone gave me, is this ok? How are you supposed to use it?
