I use white foam board as a background and just got one of these to add onto my DSLR and it is honestly amazing! So much better than just the built in flash alone.

Try to take pictures in natural light but that is hard at this time of year.

You need to make sure items are in focus, accurate colours and with no distracting background most importantly.
