I am currently:

Drinking alcohol makes all your feelings and emotions more intense. I've barred myself from drinking unless i'm out with a lot of people who i know can and will watch me. I'd suggest most people struggling with SI strongly try and refrain from drinking. It has helped me. Drinking also lowers your inhibitions, so you are more likely to do something you normally wouldn't. Add that to the intenser emotions, it is very dangerous for SI'ers.
