I am currently:

So, I see a lot has been said already.... Some of it very hard and some with care... Let us oft speak kind words to each other...
My mom has been diagnosed with Munchousens By-Proxy (and for those of you who don't know what that is, it's where subject A puts subject B in a state of sickness constantly so subject A feels needed all the time). Both my dad and stepmom have some sort of brain malfunction to where at certain points in time, they'll act like an uncontrollable alcholic which made my childhood, well, tumultuous.
I understand that your mom can be abrasive and hard to cope with at certain points in time. Just know that if she wants to get better and heal, she will. I understand that it's very complicated to have mentally ill parents. It'll get better. There's always rain before the shine.
If she's not functioning well then it's about time proffesional help intervenes. Have you discussed this at all with your therapsit? Is she aware how unstable your mom is? If not, then maybe she can give you some tools on how to work with her in a manner that can help you and benefit you and your mom as well, ya know?
I hope this helps you girl. Remember you are not alone in the battle of life <3
